Residents of Andoyi Street in Onike community of Yaba LCDA can finally breathe a sigh of relief, thanks to the tireless efforts of Hon. Oluwaseyi Afeni - the Supervisor for Information and ICT, Yaba LCDA. The young politician and community leader has successfully orchestrated the evacuation of the notorious canal that has plagued the area for years, and illuminated the street with solar-powered lights.


CANAL EVACUATION: A LONG-STANDING PROBLEM SOLVED
The wide and deep canal, stretching across Andoyi Street, had become a perennial nightmare for residents. During rainfall, the canal would overflow, inundating the road and surrounding areas, causing untold hardship and disruption to daily life. The stagnant water also posed serious health risks, making it a breeding ground for disease-carrying mosquitoes and other hazards.


Hon. Seyi Afeni's intervention has brought immense relief to the community. The canal evacuation project has:
