SEYI AFENI DOLES OUT FOOD ITEMS TO YABA RESIDENTS
Hon. Oluwaseyi Afeni, few days ago doled out a variety of food items to no fewer than 200 residents picked across different communities of in Yaba LCDA, in a bid to further cushion the economic effect of the fuel subsidy discontinuance by the federal government.
Members of some organisations, like the Committee Development Association, religious bodies and trade associations, youth groups, aged and widows among others were at the Ogunyoye House, Oyadiran Estate, Sabo to take advantage of the Food Support Initiative, which is the 5th series of the periodical program
Addressing the teeming beneficiaries, Hon. Afeni, who is the Special Adviser on Information and ICT in Yaba LCDA, remarked that the initiative is part of his relentless resolve to sustainably mitigate the hardship occasioned by the all-important discontinuance of fuel subsidy as he urged them to sustain their belief in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's economy renewal strategies, projecting that there is a lasting light at the end of the tunnel.
One of the beneficiaries Alhaja Hon. Ojikutu, a former Council Leader as well as a former Supervisor in Lagos Island Local Government, while reacting to the kind gesture said: "I don't know how best to appreciate our chairman, Hon. Afeni because as I speak with you, some of us don't have a grain of food at home, but this will go a long way to ease our struggles. God bless Hon. Seyi Afeni. May he continue to prosper."
Other beneficiaries also couldn't contain excitement as they showered commendations on Hon. Oluwaseyi Afeni, while they took turns to serially pose with him for photographs armed with their harvests.
